We love the idea of cruises. However, This NCL cruise was horrid. They changed our ports last minute, so just about EVERYONE on board had to change/cancel their excursions through the 2 phone lines NCL has available to the public. They wouldn't comp. any computer charges for people who needed to connect in that method. They told us ports changed at 7:30 & many excursions started @ 8am. Do NOT count on being at a dock by a certain time in the morning. Do NOT count on doing anything they say. They decided the swells were too high so we stayed at SEA instead of going to one of our ports. (YES! SERIOUSLY!) No refunds.Stores ON BOARD were still closed all day, they didn't change anything on board to accommodate the 2,200 people who were now stuck on board. The mood on the ship went from okay to 'horrible.' I'll never do this cruise again & never EVER do NCL. There are simply not enough activities on board for someone who is staying on board OR if you're 'stuck' on board by the captain's choice. It's over-priced because you're stuck. Drinks are about $10 each. Room service is a $5.00 fee. Between the 2 of us we EASILY spent an extra $1,000 on board just to be comfortable that week & not 'suffer.' (I.e. buying pop & drinks.) Yes, really. They'll charge you $2.75 for an 8oz cup filled with ice & some pop. It's not worth it AT ALL.
Nice balcony. It had a flatscreen tv unlike many other rooms. It had some horrible paintings in there that were somewhat terrifying and NOT something you'd expect in a cabin. (I think they were paintings of hispanic people with down syndrome playing guitars and painting. It was really bad.)Screws were coming out of the door frame.
