This was our 4th cruise, first without kids and we traveled with 3 other couples. Flew Westjet direct from Toronto to San Juan on Saturday. Stayed at the Double Tree hotel which is located about halfway between the airport and the cruise terminal. Good location with grocery store across the street, walking distance to the beach and restaurants nearby.Embarkation went well with no line ups and no issues for us. On board the ship around 2pm.St Thomas was first and we did some shopping. Barbados we did Sea Turtle and Shipwreck snorkel in the morning. Very good excursion. Only my second time snorkeling so for us it was good. Because they use a speed boat you get to the snorkel location ahead of the catamaran tours. There was time to lounge on the beach at the end. St Lucia we booked a mountain biking excursion through bikestlucia website, not through Carnival. It was well organized but it did rain off and on that day so not as enjoyable. St Kitts we did Sky Safari ziplining. This was an awesome excursion. I would highly recommend it. The guys working there were lots of fun and made the trip lots of fun even though it rained very hard during half of the runs. St Maarten was our last stop and again it rained in the morning so we did some more shopping at the port and then took a taxi, all 8 of us, to the Sunset Bar & Grill at Maho beach to watch the airplanes. Had a deal with our taxi driver that he would wait for us as we were only there about 2.5 hours.

Our cabin was 7347 balcony room. Troy our room steward was fantastic, learned everyone's name by the second day. We ate all dinners at the dining room, early seating. Food was fantastic, wait staff was very good and entertaining. Had a couple breakfasts in the cafeteria and a couple as room service.Entertainment was the usual shows, jugglers, break dancers, magician ( we did not see) and comedians. Nice to see the comedy club was jam packed every night and had many shows to choose from. Family shows, to R rated and then the late night shows. One night a 12 year old passenger, from Puerto Rico entertained everyone with Michael Jackson dancing.Embarkation went well for us. We were group 2 and off the ship around 8:15am. Through the line ups to get luggage, customs, then on our airport transfer bus. We flew United to Washington and then to Toronto, spent the night and flew home Monday morning. Disappointed that the United counter did not open until around 10am as they only had a couple flights, so everyone was standing in line waiting.Very good cruise, enjoyed the ports, and would definitely cruise again from San Juan.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Our balcony room was starboard side and close to the middle of the ship. Room was always clean and plenty of space for the two of us. Nice to see they have started to replace the old TV's with some flat screen models.
