We sailed on 9/23/06 and embarkation was pretty quick. They docked at a industrial place which wasn't too attractive to see when you are excited about seeing Hawaii. We haven't heard many good reviews on this ship, but we decided to go anyway, since it was the only ship to see all the islands. Our room was clean, but we never met our room stewart. You would think she would have introduced herself and tried to make us feel comfortable. We sailed on the Princess ship 2 years ago, and the room stewart couldn't do enough for us. We didn't receive our papers for the cruise until a week before we sailed, which messed us up for excursions. We scheduled some of them on line and then we were told we would have to schedule some of them on the ship that it was sold out. So when we were on the ship, there was a line for the excursions. When we got to the front of the line, (none of this made any sense). It seemed like everything was shut down on the ship by 8:00 p.m. Not too much going on in the evening. The pools didn't look too clean so we didn't even try and go in it.

As far as the restaurants go, the Chinese place we ate at was terrible. Service was good, but food was terrible. Three of us out of 4 didn't feel too good after the meal. We made reservations for Little Italy as soon as we got on the ship and when we went to eat there, they claimed we had no reservations so we never got to eat there. The Cadillac rest. was pretty good for hamburgers and stuff like that. I would say the best place was the Lazy J Steak House. Food was great and so was the service.

The buffet was good, but not open 24 hours like the other ships we took. When we ordered a queen size bed ahead of time, we ended up with 2 twin beds we had to put together, which wasn't too comfortable. 3 out of 5 people we talked to claimed that they were upgraded to a better room without even asking. The ship was only 3/4 full and we did not get an upgrade. We were trying to find out about our bills on the ship, and the service desk people were very rude and terrible attitudes. First they gave us someone elses bill and proceeded to have attitude with us. Would I ever go on this ship again? No. I've seen better.
