Ship Facts: Legend of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Legend of the Seas Deck Plans
Beware RC Legends 6th floor
We are very active cruisers and have never complained before, and I hate to make this one against a Royal Caribbean ship because we have ALWAYS had great cruises with them. However, we booked the "usual balcony room" for this cruise; having been informed that the rooms were being all remade we were unable to see the room on line. Assuming of course that they would be the same as any other "Balcony" room we have previously booked on RC - were happy to know that it would all be freshly updated.

This was NOT to be so because this room did not reflect the usual balcony room, in any way!! There was no storage in night tables, no love-seat, no fridge, the usual desk and storage was gone and the only drawers in the whole room were 3 small, and I mean small and short, drawers in an undersized desk. There was no room in the room and in fact it was smaller than an inside room.

This room IS NOT in the category of a "balcony" and they had no right in advertising it as such,The pricing was a gouge and certainly not representative of what RC Balcony rooms should and have been.!!

THis room AT BEST - would be a "qualified upgrade" from an OV because it is actually smaller, less storage, but does have a balcony "hung on it"

Putting earrings on a pig - still makes it a pig and that is what this room is.

We booked and paid for a normal sized and equipped balcony room based on the 7th floor balconies and RC did not or would not upgrade us. We paid more than the average person on this particular cruise as the pricing had dropped substantially from when we paid and still, we weren't given an upgrade. Others on this cruise booked OV and insides and obtained balconies and suites.

This was very upsetting the way in which this particular cruise was priced and run at the end.

Many many guests who were booked into the "FAMOUS 6th floor rooms" were so upset. Guests who were first time cruisers or had never had balconies on RC had nothing to compare but regular cruisers

knew they were being ripped off.

When booking on the "LEGENDS" - stay away from the 6th floor Balcony rooms unless they are VERY CHEAPLY priced. You will regret it.
