Ship Facts: Norwegian Jewel Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Jewel Deck Plans
Panama Cruise April 2013
I have to say from the onset that our experience with Norwegian was fantastic. Our embarkation was very good no real problems. We went straight to Tsars for lunch (thanks CC for the advice) and it was very nice. After lunch we did what most people do and that is explore the ship and wow was it big or at least to us poor Aussies it was compared to the P&O ships down under. We had a mini suite cabin 11108 it was larger than what we was expecting no noise from above and that blackout curtains made for some late sleep ins. The balcony is bigger that what we expected to be totally honest the cabin was great.

We ate at all of the free restaurants however Tsars, Asurs and Blue Lagoon was the best for us, the buffet had a very good selection and yes the food was "HOT" contrary to what other people have stated but with a full load of passengers it was crowded on most sea days. The shore excursions were a bit pricey and I would suggest that you walk off the ship in any port let alone the ports that we did as in most cases you can get the same excursions with the local operators at half the price. We found all of the staff and crew to be very polite including the staff at the administration counter. The shows that we attended were very good all be it only lasting 45 minutes or so. The sea day entertainment was also very good (got to get them signatures on your score cards) all in all you could do as little or as much as you wanted, the pools and spars were also very good. We got to know some very good people on this cruse and none had a bad word to say about the cruise. As for "wishy wishy washy washy" she and they do a great job and at the end of the day the hygiene and health of the passengers is their main concern, (Good On Them). It was great to see the captain and senior officers doing a daily walk through the ship and talking to passengers and answering their questions well done Captain Lars, Officers and crew. Our travelling companions being first time cruisers could believe the service etc and all of the above.

There is only one thing that NCL need to look at and that is the disembarkation fiasco with the emigration people being on-board to check everyone off, it might have been just a one off on this occasion.

Once again well done NCL and congratulations Captain Lars. We will sail again with you very soon.
