Lived up to our Expectations

Sail Date: April 2013
Destination: Transatlantic
Embarkation: Southampton

Arrived in Southampton 11:30A - Our bags taken on Curbside while we checked in. Check-In process was easy and quickly we were sitting down in the our "Haven Lounge" - It was a slight disappointment as they advertised that there would be refersehments while we wait, but not a complete let down.

Boarded the ship and were greeted by the wonderful staff of the Haven - Ruth and her assistances. They gave us a warm welcome and showed us the facilities and what to expect on the cruise. She advised how her services work.

We went to our room which was breathtaking - Waiting for over a year for this trip and to step in the room will be a memory I will not forget. Our butler Armando and room steward Ricky showed up to explain how things work in the room and what they can do for us during the cruise.

After getting settled we went to the Haven Lounge for lunch and a quick drink. The wait staff introduced themselves along with the Matri'd Racula - She was notified that I More have a very severe Gluten allergy and she assured me that they will do their best for me not to worry.

After spending a few hours wondering the ship and getting our sense of where everything is - we settled to the ManHattan room for dinner. The service was on the tad slow side but who cares we are on vacation! What we noticed to be funny was the wait staff had their maps out to find the tables.

- I am not going to give a day by day of our experience as with any experience it is subjective -

However with this being said a few key points that we came out of this ship with.

The Haven Staff are a delight to be with - They made this trip the experience it was.
The Spa was a little crowded (However being a Transatlantic there is nothing else to do)
There could have been a little more daytime activities or presentations
The Casino had a smell of smoke and even the areas that were nonsmoking there were people smoking

Overall it was great trip! We enjoyed the Food & The Service.

We ate at Le Bistro, La Cuncina, Monderno for our specialty restaurants.

We enjoyed this trip so much we have already booked the sister ship - Getaway for Jan 2015 Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Breakaway 15110

Nice Room! 1 Floor down from the Haven Complex, quiet and just enough of a distance from the midship stairs to have no noise.
