Ship Facts: Carnival Breeze Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Breeze Deck Plans
Great Family Cruise
As two working professionals and raising our three kids, the timing of this vacation was perfect! Carnival Breeze delivered a memorable vacation.

In our family was two adults, 1 thirteen year old, 1 ten year old and 1 nine year old.We took a plane from Montreal to Miami and arrived very late at night. Took a private driver with a Suburban to Best Western West Suites (cab ride of $35). Great stay for a layover and breakfast included. CVS Pharmacy was just down the street for last minute soda, water, wine and snacks purchases.

Took free shuttle back to airport and grabbed cab to port. (about $25)

FASTER TO THE FUN

We bought the faster to the fun package to be able to embark early. There were many people set up to guide us where to drop bags, go through security and enter check in area. We were very quickly escorted and processed (within 5 minutes of arriving) at the terminal and then eagerly awaited our bording call in the clean and air conditioned waiting area.

Nobody checked our carry ons for sodas or wine (though we were within norms).

We were able to board with first set of guests. The ship was really beautiful. We had a room for five on deck 1. Unfortunately, our room was not ready nor were our bags in the room as promised with faster to the fun but guest services made up for that by crediting our account and apologizing. Oh well, at least we were on the ship.

ROOM

The room was beautifully decorated, a little tight for us but convenient. It had one bathroom plus a half bath (tub/shower and sink). Nice touch to have swivel flat screen tv. The room was designed for five with two pull down beds, one sofa bed and two twins put together. The beds, pillow and comforters were really comfortable.

DINING

First day lunch buffet and first day breakfast buffet lines were very long.

We had our own time dining at Sapphire where we ate 4 out of the 6 nights. Service was pretty good for most nights. Most of the dishes were tasty and very well presented. Combined, we ate Lobster tail, cream of wild mushroom, prime rib, vegetariran Indian dishes, southern fried chicken, aligator fritters, various appetizers, shrimp,.... we'd always bring our own glass of wine and coke, whcih was never a problem.

Guy's hamburgers were yummy.

Blue Iguanas we weren't too impressed with.

Pasta bar at lunch was just okay.

buffet breakfast/lunch foods were good.

coffee is really good. mango juice in a.m. and all you can drink water and lemonade...bonus!!

Indian food during lunches was awesome!!

Oven pizzas were good but lines were long, expecially at night when there is not much else open for food except for room service.

Comedy brunch food was great but the preview show was hard to swallow.

room service was good.

SHOWS - ENTERTAINMENT

Bingo, eh...

Hasbro, eh...

ventriloquist... eh

comedian...eh

casino delivered on our first night and then ate all our credits in the final two days. still had fun.

films at night A1++ escpecially if you settle in on a couch on upper deck.

4d theatre for the kids ($14.95 for all you can watch) was great.

our kids were not really into the kids clubs and preferred doing their own thing.

games room lets you take out games to your room for free. great for the "i don't know what to do" moments, which were rare but expected from young kids.

Water park and rope course were FABULOUS (even as abn adult)

mini putt was fun for the kids

pool area was way too loud and the music hindered the Serentiy Lounge area where you couldn't find relief from all the party music.

PORTS OF CALL

loved them all!! Key West we took a trolley tour which was great. Grand Turks water was pristine a little past the regular chairs the sand is sandier and the beach is less crowded. Nassau we lucke out with some sort of sale on Atlantis whcih still cost a pretty penny ($465 for the five of us) but the day was one we will never forget. soooo much fun but long process to get cattled into buses to get there and then to get a locker. not enoguh time to enjoy all that Atlantis has to offer so we would consider staying at Atlantis as a separate vacation. (lazy river was wild and fun, fun, fun).

SUGGESTIONS

open more food restaurant choices at night.

Serenity a little more peacfulness.

should have figured out that basketball court was right on top of restaurants to avoid having to close it down during dining times.

FINAL THOUGHTS

All in all, we were very happy with our vacation. Thank you Carnival.
