We were skeptical about going on a ship that was this large with so many people, but were pleasantly surprised. Some background information, this was a girls trip with myself (late 20's) and my mom (late 20's at heart. Embarkation: We flew into FLL the day of our sailing and had arranged transfers through Royal. This was smooth and easy and the staff was friendly and had you moving in the right direction. Once at the pier, it was a little overwhelming with all the people, but we quickly moved through the lines and were on the ship in 20 min. State Room: We had a Central Park balcony cabin and were very happy with this. The room was spacious and well organized to maximize this space. The bathroom was a normal size for a cruise ship and had lots of shelf space. We really loved the balcony! It was great for natural light and adding extra space to the cabin. We never had a problem with noise and liked the concerts they would have out there in the evening. Our cabin steward was great! He was always friendly and wanting to make sure that we were happy. Dining: We had my time dining for the first time and really loved it. I had reserved out dining time beforehand and we never had to wait to get to our table. We had some of the best service of any cruise and had asked to sit in the same section every night. The food was very good and we had many hits and very few misses. We tried to eat at all of the free venues throughout the week for breakfast and lunch and were never disappointed. Park Cafe was one of our favorite spots with the great salad bar and all the sandwich options. We went to Vintages one night after dinner for a glass of wine and were surprised to be the only people there. It worked to our advantage as we were given a mini lesson in wine! Entertainment: There were so many options it was hard to choose what to do some days. All of the production shows were top notch and had highly talented performers. Hairspray, Oasis of Dreams, Frozen in Time, they were all must sees and made it hard to believe that you were on a moving ship. The comedy shows were also very funny and highly enjoyable. Ricky the cruise director and his staff were great! High energy, nice, funny and ready to help make your vacation great. The Ship: The design maximized space and the flow of people. You never felt crowded or like cow being herded around. The areas on the ship gave you the WOW factor. Real plants, a merry go round, fountains and so much more made the ship itself a destination. Disembarkation: we chose to get off the ship late as we had a late flight. This was still a nice experience as they had coffee, juice and pastries to keep you happy while you waited. The worst part was knowing your vacation was over.
