We were so excited to go on the Carnival Breeze being that it is the newest boat in the Carnival fleet. The price and timing were right so we were ready to go. I have been on Carnival about 8 other times and had a great experience. List below are my observations:
Staffing-Lines were long everywhere except the bars. They were adequately staffed and even focused on up selling everything. They could have used a few of those people at the service desk or the food areas.
Pool-The ship has two small pools for 4000 guests. The pools if everyone sits side by side would hold about 500 people. The pools were not accessible due to overcrowding. Even though they have an adult only area...it has no pool. If you do get to the pool, then you are subjected to screaming kids trying to jump into the pool.
Entertainment-The entertainment was not very good. The shows were the same performers who were required to dance and sing with bad microphones and massive light shows. They tried their best to hide the singers who were not very good with lights and high pitched microphones. Consuela was very good. Ryan was very good...catch Consuela at the lounge and Ryan near the pool. Most amazingly the last night they used Consuela as the last show...poor planning after she sang same songs in lounge all week. The cruise director Brent and Brittany were the worst. They constantly made fun of themselves and other employees as the entertainment for the joke. It amounted to fart jokes and slightly sexual humor...even some questionable Gay jokes on one employee Dan.
Staff-The limited staff was great. They were working very hard and very long. One employee I saw at 730 am was still working at 1 am the next day. Dean the room attendant, Potulo the head waiter, and Jeff the drink server were all exceptional.
Boat-Besides the pool...the boat is magnificent. You will enjoy the Red Frog Pub, the Limelite Lounge, Ovation Theatre, and the Casino.
