We just got back from the Exotic Western Caribbean 7 day On the Carnival Dream. Port Canaveral is a very nice port with secure garage parking. The ship is beautiful. It is very large but easy to navigate. Embarkation was a breeze. We were on board by 11:45 and in our room by 12:30. The atrium is beautiful as expected. Our room was a basic Inside cabin #9214 almost all the way forward. This was a very quiet cabin. There was plenty of closet and storage space. The bathroom is very well planned out with lots of shelves. The bed was very comfortable. Our Room Steward "Su" was great. He met all of our needs almost like magic in his quick and efficient manner.

The buffet area is spacious with many choices divided up in stations. The pizza was delicious. The Deli has an excellent pastrami and corned beef sandwich! We never made it to the Pasta station because we were always too full to eat pasta but it sure looked good! We had early seating dinner in the upstairs section of the Scarlet Dining Room. Our waiters were awesome, Nino, Hernando and Erik. They asked us our names on the first evening and then referred to us by first name throughout the cruise no matter where we saw them! Very impressive to me! One of our travel mates had to eat gluten free and this was handled very easily throughout the ship. She placed her dinner order the night before and everything was prepared for her gluten free! This was also available in the Pasta Bar, the Deli and the Pizza Bar but we did not take advantage of that this trip.

The shows were very good. The dancers are fantastic! The 2 featured singers are good but the sound is so loud it was more like screeching than singing by the 4th night. Jamie, the Cruise Director is AWESOME! We've been on 12 cruises on 5 different cruise lines and she was by far the very best cruise director we've ever seen. Her energy and enthusiasm are overwhelming!

Cabin 9214 - typical inside cabin. Plenty of closet space. Bathroom has lots of storage shelves and has a pull out double sided makeup mirror that was very handy. This was a very quiet location. It is only a couple doors away from the front outside deck that no one knows about unless your room is in this area.
