The check in was quick and efficient,a BBQ or Buffet in the Plaza restaurant was on hand after boarding, and the cabin ready thereafter.
Thought the cabin was a good size, we had a balcony on a high deck, and tea & coffee making in the cabin too.Cabin steward top class.
Certainly the ship's carpets had been replaced, and looked new, and no wear on the cabin carpets.
Chose Freedom Dining, the Ligurian restaurant is set for this, and also tried the Horizon Grill, which was excellent too .Breakfasts in either the Adriatic or Cafe Jardin,we of a high standard, as was afternoon tea in the Ligurian.
Entertainment, The Headliners were very good, as was the young classical pianist who gave two recitals. The Sauna & Steam room were good.
Eidfjord was the highlight,amazing scenery. Flamm a quiet backwater, the train trip to Myrdal, and to Voss was worth the rather high excursion cost, but a super hotel buffet lunch was included.
Stavanger & Kristiansand were interesting, although the weather there was fine rain, so neither looked their best.
I cannot understand the negative reviews of the Oceana, I would certainly travel on this ship again, it's not too big- a very memorable experience.
