What went very well:
Getting on and off the ship each time was easy and fast. Found our rooms without trouble, luggage arrived right away. Our housekeeping staff was excellent. Anthony made sure our rooms were clean and we had towel animals every night. We had early dining in the Wind Song. The staff there was fantastic. Very attentive, the food was very good. Other meals were at the buffets. Great omelets. Good food. Not quite the variety we found on other ships.
We attended a couple shows, The Brits and also Motor City. Both performances were excellent. We enjoyed them very much. Also saw the Hasbro Shows and attended bingo one night.
The kids enjoyed the water park and mini golf. They both joined the clubs on board for their age groups. The 17 yr old traveling with us attended his club, but the 14 yr old felt he was older than the other kids and only attended once.
What went no so well:
We had one lunch in the Wind Star. The food was okay, but the issue we had was with the lady taking orders for drinks. She was quite rude to my grandson when all he asked for was a soda. Actually snapped at him. He was being quite polite and didn't deserve that treatment.
In the common areas the air conditioning was set so cold, we had goose bumps. As a result, every member of the family now have chest colds. It was freezing when we were watching the shows the last two nights.
Music is way too loud by the pool. We didn't use the pool at all or stay in that area because of it.
Good cruise for the value. Smaller ship, more waves felt. A good first cruise for someone to take.
