Embarkation :

My wife showed the Carnival person her back brace and said she could not take the long line at check-in. Bang zoom we went to the front of the assistance needed line and whoosh we were on the ship having lunch and I had my first of my fruity drinks in hand!

All in all it was pretty good cruise. Our room (6303) was an inside cabin It was noisy and then we found it was above the casino and the casino band! Never take this room. We got it changed! The next room (2350) was much quieter. And they gave us a $$ credit for our trouble. Weather was pretty good but cool on the ship going down and we had a lousy waiter (late dining Gold Pearl lower) who was more into making jokes with diners than serving food. My wife burned her mouth on hot soup and instead of a simple sorry the waiter made jokes about her pain. We spoke to the maitre'd and the next night the waiter apologized profusely and said he almost lost his job for that. He had a much better attitude the next night and for the rest of the cruise.
