Lovely ship with a few adjustments required
Embarkation: Sydney (Australia)
Firstly the Ship is beautiful. Lovely decor and very stylish. Our Aqua Class room was tastefully decorated. had a good bathroom and a comfy bed. Only two issues with the room. not enough closet space and power points otherwise great. All the restaurants were great we mainly dined in Blu but also did the main dining for lunch plus the speciality restaurants. Special thanks to our waiters Krumi, Luka and Sommelier Sanjay who looked after us very well. The speciality restaurants are definitlely worth buying as a package. Photgraphers are great. We bought an unlimited package so constantly had photos taken. A great cheap way to get professional portraits done. We didn't attend a lot of the shows but what we did see was great. Cruise Director John we knew from a previous cruise and he was great as always. The shore excursions whilst a bit pricey were worth it.
We missed Noumea as we went into voluntary isolation for gastro and we were well compensated for doing this. If only all More passengers did this the bug would not spread and everyone could get the most out of their holiday.
Bought the premium Alcohol package which was great as far as saving money but of course we then drank way too much. Its a good deal if you have more than 6 drinks a day.
My only major Gripe with this cruise was the bar service. On previous cruises I was inundated with waiters wanting me to buy drinks however these types of waiters were few and far between on the solstice. This was the main complaint I heard from nearly every passenger I talked to. Solstice simply needs a lot more bar staff to improve this service.
And a little tip fro some of the staff on the ship. If you are going to have a conflict with another staff member do this privately and not in front of passengers. Saw three hissy fights within the 1st two days. Not very professional.
Would I recommend this cruise. Definitely Less

Cabin review: A11517 AquaClass
Same size as most but tastefully decorated. Good bathroom. Smallish balcony but big enough. Could do with a divider between the bed and lounge should one wake up earlier than the other. Could do with some more clothes storage spaceRead All AquaClass (A1) Reviews >>
