Ship Facts: Oasis of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Oasis of the Seas Deck Plans
Oasis Absolutely Fantastic !!!
We flew in the night before and stayed at the Hyatt Place on 17th. We have stayed before and it is close to shops and restrauants.

Embarkation We arrived at the terminal at 10:30 am and were in the Windjammer eating lunch by 11:30. It was fast, efficient and painless.

Although I had looked at many pictures there is nothing like seeing the Grand Promenade for that first time you get on the ship. Absolutely beautiful !!

We were in our room by 1:00 and had all of our luggage by 2:30 including our soda.

Room We were in 6194 (hump balcony) a great room. We had plenty of storage and although the bathroom was small it was sufficient for the 2 of us. We had the bed by the balcony and the room was very quite. Being on sixth deck was very handy to most of what we enjoyed so it worked out well for us to take the stairs a lot.

Shows We went to Hairspray, Oasis of Dreams, Come Fly with Me, Frozen in Time. They were all outstanding. We did not make it to the Comedy Show but I heard it was great. 70's night on the Promenade was fantastic and a must do. It was just great!! Quest was extremely funny but you have to have an open mind and remember it is an Adult activity. We loved it !

Service I am not a person that pays a lot of attention to the CD but I thought Ricky Mathews was great. His CD staff was outstanding. I worked with one of the staff for the Flash Mob Dance and she was so much fun. Our steward was super and the wait staff in every restaurant was very attentive and eager to please.

Dining We had early seating in the MDR but were so busy and coming in from excursions sometimes was later and we were tired and we ate at 2 specialty restaurants, so we only made it there 3 times. Next time we will get My Time Dining. The food was very good and our waiter was great. We ate breakfast at Johnny Rockets, Windjammer and Wipe Out Cafe and enjoyed them all. Lunch was at Park Cafe, Wipe Out Cafe, Seafood Shack and Pizza, they were all good. Giovanni's Table and Chops were both great and well worth the extra fee.

Nightclubs We love Dazzles, the band is great and can play all types of music. We got 2nd place in the twist contest. We went to numerous bars but always ended up back at Dazzles. More our type of Music. We went to Casino some but broke about even and sometimes we went there and sat at the bar while waiting for our show to start. Very good for people watching.

Debarkation We had an early flight (10:05 am) so did self assist at 6:15. Easy and fast. We grabbed a taxi and were at the Ft. Lauderdale airport by 7:30am.

Thoughts We both decided that it was by far the best cruise we had been on and cannot think of one negative. We tried to do everything but it is just impossible in 7 days. After about 3 days we decided we had to have a little downtime so made sure we rested in the room for a while each afternoon or early evening to get ready for the late evening activities. The ship is so huge with so much to do that everyone is spread out and seems to find their own hangout spot so it does not feel crowded. Would we book an Oasis Class again? Absolutely!! We are planning to book the Allure in April of 2014 and purchased a next cruise certificate to get ready for it.
