We went on the Fantasy out of Charleston, SC on 4-16-2013. The weather was nice and sunny. We opted to stay at a local motel for 2 nights and tour the city before cruising. We stayed at the La Quinta on Ashley which also offers park and cruise. They called a taxi for us and we were at the port by 12:15. Luggaged dropped off then take shuttle over to the port then through customs. We had passport cards and had little wait. They ask if you want to link your credit card to your ship and sail card and we chose to put cash which you do at guest services once you get on board. They had several staff members with red shirts on the said "ask me" and we did. They were very helpful. We then checked to see if our room was ready and it was but luggage had not arrived. We dropped off our carry-on luggage then went to the Windows of the Sea to grab a bite to eat.

We go back to our room and we get to meet our room steward, Mustika, he informed us he would be stopping by twice a day to tidy up our room and asked if there was anything we needed and if we did later on told us the number to use. We saw him at least once a day but knew he always came after we went to breakfast. We ate breakfast in different place but we liked the omelet station out by the pool the best had omelets twice. We ate at the buffet once and in the dining room twice.

Lunch we always did the buffet or grill. We chose early dining but if I were to go again would do either late dining or anytime. Seems like you got to rush and leave things you are in the middle of to make it on time. Our head waiter Nelson was very attentive to our needs and once everyone was served the waiters would put on a little show. That we certainly enjoyed.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

our cabin had a view. It had a night stand on one of the King bed then the desk was used for the other one.It had 2 and a half closets. Also had a few drawers to put stuff in. We got everything unpacked and put away.

The shower is a four foot shower. So we had plenty of room in shower.it is just enough room for one person at the time to talk around bed. But no problem there either. You do not have time to stay in room.

The hallway was not noisy most of the time. Mostly quiet.
