Well we are a family of 4 with 2 teen girls. We were all very excited for this trip and were not dissapointed. My husband and I cruised Alaska on Carnival last August and because I have Celiac Disease it was quite difficult for me to communicate and feel comfortable on the ship as far as eating. Not the case on Glory.

PRE CRUISE - We stayed at Holiday INN Port of Miami, good location..that's all. it was small, packed, slow elevator and no shuttle to the terminal. I don't recommend this place.

EMBARKATION - smooth and fairly quick

Cabin Review

Cabin 5A

OUR STATEROOM 2220- Typical Carnival room BUT here is a tip... porthole rooms are priced as interior and are a few square feet bigger plus windows! We had chosen to go with a cheaper room this time and were happy with the porthole windows. Deck 2 forward was plenty quiet and since we tried to commit to not gaining 10 pounds we actually took stairs the whole trip! deck 2 to deck 9 Lido over and over! (for the record, we still gained but we were proud for sticking to it)

There seemed to be quite a bit of movement from the waves but it didn't bother us and the kids enjoyed watching the splashes out the window when they got high enough to see.
