Cruise started with drive to ft Lauder dale and stay at Best Western on Highway 84 and park at Park and go everything went well there/ Got to Port at 1130 and was on board by noon with VIP boarding. Room was ready when I got on. Freedom left late as usual. Sailed it four times and thy don't do things on time.
First stop was Key West on Monday morning and had a great time. Walked around for two hours and then went on the Pub crawl which really was a blast.
day 2 at sea was normal day nothing unusual no place around the pool. They load the ship up and never have room for passengers if everyone wants to go out.
Day three was Caymans and again port was great. Went to find public beaches an found a couple close. Jones Cove was about two miles from ship and about half hour walk. Bus was 2.50. Start towards seven mile beach and again about two miles was public beach. great for snorkeling around an old ship.
next Jamaica was nothing to right home about. Either you take a tour or get consumed by taxi drivers or beggars . Taxes for shopping are 16.5%
Last sea day was same as first not much to do.
Getting off the ship was unreal. we arrived at 430 am and the VIP left by 6am. Was through Customs by 615 am,
The entertainment was same as usual normal shows . Some nights nothing going on for entertainment . Good Comedians usual but you have to get to the lounge half hour ahead of time to get a seat. Freedom still has a live band and they are really great in shows and at other venues on ship.
Food on the Freedom has been getting worse over the last three years. Dining rooms in Chic is still great and wait staff cannot be beat, Lido is opposite food wise. Food is bland and lines are long as they stagger opening them.
Cabin was Ocean Suite room 7271. If you like music you will love it because as long as anyone played in the atrium you heard it at night. Usually ended by 11pm . Steward Alberto was great and always helpful.
Overall cruise was good and had a good time . sailing Freedom again in July
