after 5 cruises on celebrity and 1 on RCI, we were not sure what to expect but even at checkin we soon realised we needed to suspend any previous opinions an stick our tongues firmly in our cheeks. there were about 30 plus hen nights onboard and we even saw an inflatable rubber man being taken onboard. the checkin itself was painfully slow. by the time we got on we only had 15 mins for lunch before the safety drill and we were starving at that point. the cabin was very large with lots of storage space but as it was disabled cabin the shower had no lip and we were often paddling in water as there was one tiny shower curtain that only went half way round. Had dinner at marco pierre whites "cafe jardin" which was very nice. the evening entertainment both nights was excellent. a MADNESS tribute band who played lots of ska and did a rock and roll session on night 2. Actually this was more enjoyable than anything on celebrity. great party atmosphere onboard. Had a lovely day in Bruge and came home with lots of chocolate. despite some misgivings we thought this trip was value for money and would def do it again. Celebrity cruises please take note!! P and O only take £3 a day for tips and dont charge under 12s and no 15% surcharge on what was very reasonable priced drinks onboard.
