Our cabin proved to be well-appointed and relatively spacious. As far as we could tell it was also spotlessly clean.

Restaurant meals were delightful, well prepared and presented as well as filling even though the European portion sizes appeared small at first until we discovered otherwise. Wait staff in the restaurant were unfailingly pleasant. The only thing that was a bit tedious was the fact that the same house wines were served each lunch and dinner and some variety would have been appreciated.

The Viking Europe is beginning to show its age but the crew do a wonderful job of keeping it looking spic and span at all times. The only place we could suggest for improvement is the restaurant carpet close to the buffet area, where it is fairly grubby and some fairly major cleaning is in order. Read more
