Carnival Glory Review March 31, 2013
Destination: Western Caribbean
Hotel Info: Sailing out of Port of Miami, arrived the day before, and prefer Fort Lauderdale. When in Fort Lauderdale, we stayed at the Gallery One Doubletree - it was a GREAT location for the price. Right next to a great mall and a short walk to the beach!
Carnival Glory received the Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades and we loved all of them. People in our party said they preferred the Liberty better, but to me it was a toss up.
There were cut backs for sure with the stage shows, but the comedy acts are always hilarious. Due to the week we cruised there were a million kids on the deck and in the pools at all times - don't know if we would do a cruise this time of the year again. Sea days are always fun trying to find a deck chair, but the deck chair police were out putting stickers on empty seats on what time "place holders" could be moved.
Faster to the Fun - purchase it for More sure - worth every penny! We were the first ones on the ship at noon! As for leaving the ship at the end of the voyage, the process was very smooth and very organized.
Justee our room steward was the BEST - he was great! Late dining with Alex and Csaba(aka Chubby) - very memorable and the BEST service!
The food was below what we had had just a year earlier. With the addition of Fun Ship 2.0, they seem to cut back on availability. Guy's Burger Joint was GREAT. The Blue Iguana Catina was real nice, but had very limited hours. Less
