I have never been on a vacation as enjoyable as our cruise was last week. From the time we entered the cruise terminal until we checked back through customs a week later it was superb!

We arrived at the terminal on Sunday morning about 11:00am and where on the ship by 12:00noon. The check in went very smooth and the staff was a sign of what was to come the next week. When we walked onto the ship we were greeted with a ship map and told we should go to the Lido deck for lunch. When we arrived on the Lido deck we were greeted by a barmaid asking us if we wanted a drink. Being a first time cruiser I thought it was a welcome aboard drink. Not until I was asked for my card did I realize my mistake. You learn very quick what is free and what is not.

Our dinning room staff is what made the cruise as enjoyable as it was for us. After the first night at dinner they knew our drink preference and would always ask if that was the drink we wanted that night. I always ordered ice cream with my dessert and after the first night I was always asked if I wanted my ice cream . Our waiter was Sakaro and his assistant was Bambang. Carnival is lucky to have such wonderful employees.
