We were on the March 31 cruise (Easter) out of Bayonne NJ Cape Liberty. We could only compare to our Carnival cruise and we really enjoyed the Explorer of the Seas. The cruise director, Richard Spacey, was great, the crew was great, the stateroom was roomier than I expected, and we loved the balcony!

Wish the weather had been better however that is the risk with an early April cruise, right? We still loved the sea days and the ship. Our only complaint was the lack of staffing on the Royal Promenade, the WW bar staff was awful, and the lines at the Cafe Promenade were way too long.

Our dining room staff was marvelous, we ate at 830. Our stateroom attendant was good, not great, but good. The stateroom was good, flat screen TV and a sliding door so we could leave it open and listen to the ship make way.
