1st time cruising on Carnival Glory, the ship had no issues but the service level at dinner time has gone down since our 1st cruise 4 yrs ago.
3X's we had to ask for iced tea at dinner, when typically they remember and give you the same drink night after night, they did not and we had to ask each time. We finally gave up and drank water.
Sometimes we didn't have all the dinnerware at our table, ie...missing spoons, missing butter, missing glasses...etc...
At least once we ordered an extra meal to share and they failed to bring it, forgot I guess?!
Also we gamble at the casino daily, immediately after dinner there seems to be no wait staff in the casino. Suddenly after late dinner, about 10 show up to serve you. Then later they seem to all disappear again?! Took us 2 days to get our free drink card so we expected better service but we got our money's worth.Other than our service in the casino and at dinner time, we had a blast and hope Carnival can raise their More
level of service as we saw it years ago when the servers had a bit more time to chit chat and get to know you better and us learn about them. Less
We've been to Grand Cayman before and did the sting ray City which is a must-do but had the kids with us this time and figured they would be too scared to do this so...
We missed our port in Costa Maya due to high winds, good call if safety was an issue. Snorkeled in Grand Cayman at Eden Rock, was good and FREE, within walking distance from the port. Seven mile beach was also a great beach to go to and is within 10-15 min bus ride from the port.
Roatan Honduras we booked a zip line through Victor Bodden, who we have gone to before, they are great and there were at least 12 zip lines plus animals including monkeys & parrots where they let you go into the cages. Great experience and a cute little gift shop.
