Not What I Expected!
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
This ship may have a lot to offer but it is so poorly configured that I couldn't get off soon enough.
Positives- beautiful spa and gym. Specialty restaurants very good, entertainment very good and cabin service very attentive.
Reasons not to book this ship - NOT ENOUGH ELEVATORS! Ship was designed with elevators only at each end of the ship. No elevators mid-ship like all other ships I've been on which meant you waited on average of 10 minutes or more for an elevator only for the doors to open and find the elevator JAM PACKED!
Dining Room food, service and atmosphere a 2 out of 5. It was dark, dingy, tables literally on top of each other and service was non-exsistent.
The Ship's common areas are so bunched up that you hear all of the noise (comic, piano, 3 story TV screen, bars, bowling alley and casino ringing)coming from the venues around the common space in the center of the ship. Never found an area where you could sit without this outrageous More noise.
Pools very small and pool area poorly configured. On our first day at sea we couldn't find a lounge chair in the sun or shade!
And ships are not doing themselves any favors with charging for everything!!! ICE BAR - $20 per person to enter (of course they provided 2 drinks; behind the scenes ship tour $55.) Just charge an extra $100-$200 and include these amenities! Enough already, cruise lines are becoming very much like the airlines charging you for every service!!!
As for the cabins, they are nicely appointed but don't bother with booking a Mini Suite, there are no perks with the exception of a full shower vs a half shower.
Would I book this ship again...... NO! For the price I'll stick with RCCL and Celebrity! Less
