Ship Facts: Allure of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Allure of the Seas Deck Plans
JUST SOME ALLURE OF THE SEAS NOTES
We left Ny out of Islip NY and arrived in Ft. Launderale about 930am......We asked the cruise rep. what would be a good time to go over and she advised 10:30 am.

We took a cab for 16.00 plus 4 dollar tip which is still cheaper then A cruise line bus. Whne we arrived at the pier we were shown were to place our luggage and where to go to embark.. It is a short one block walk to the front of the pier to start the process... I must tell you that the entire embarkation took 10 minutes and we were escorted to the diamond level lounge area to wait for the green light to go on the ship.....It was about 11:30 am and we started to board.

The crew is fantastic in every way it would be great if some passengers learned a few things from the crew. You enter on deck 5 the royal promenede and we made our way to the winjammer for lunch..... The ship is huge and there is planty of room and food to go around fro 5000 guests... The windjammer was not crowded and we got a seat by the window overlooking the port. Food was fine in every aspect. We ate in several different areas but the winnjammer was never crowded.

We proeceded to our D1 stateroom which is your typical baLcony cabin with a slighly larger terreace.... It may not be worth the extra money but we had to try it...... If you love being on your private deck then its super..... We spent most of our time exploring the diiffernt venues on the ship.

We ate at four specialty restaurants and I will give you a quick analysis of each. Samba Grill great if you love beef pork and chicken... Also very nice buffet before the Brazilain food is served.... takes 2 hrs to eat... Its on deck 15 enclosed from the pool area...There is no smell of chorine. Also RCCL has salt pools..... HaD a suoer time at the Samba and would recommend. Giovannis grill also very good for fish and beef. Pasta dishes excellent.

Chops was super for filet mignon and Izumi was your typical Japanese restaurasnt sushi and hot rock dishes.... only negative was dessert in izumi--not good in our opinion. The MDR food was also excellent so if money is an issue dont worry enjoy the MDR its fine and the staff is helpful to please.

The shows were far better then we have seen on other RCCL ships. Recommend you book all the shows from diving to Chicago to Blue planet Ice shows ///all were well done by the cast of singers and dancers.

The ship is very very clean and that means under and on top of the tables are scrubbed.....No foolin around wash your hands befor after and during the day to make sure but RCCL makes sure also.

Flowrider and the zip line are a must if you can handle them or watch and see the people having a great time...

THis cruise was sold out and we never felt that we were in a crowd.. at times only one in the hottub or pool... the ports we have been to at least 3/4 times so we did get off for a brieft encounter of shopping.... all shopping fine except by AWARE OF DIAMONDS INTERNATIONAL IN COZUMEL.......

The cruise line gives you a free ride to the Forum shops ... This is DI's way to get you in and hustled for their medicore diamonds... Been ripped off once by DI and it wont happen again..... So we immediately said no thanks and left to go shopping at a better place.... now folks what you can save is improtant but you must know what you are buying.....buy in USA better off if not educated.

In either case, this ship is unique, in so many aspects Broadwalk, Central Park,

Royal Promede, are places you can spend hours looking shopping talking and eating..

Yes the Cafe in central park does have great roast beef snadwich but also great salads. StarBUCKS DOES TAKE THEIR STARBUCK CARD SO YOU CAN GIVE THEM THAT OR THE SEAPASS CARD.

SMALL entertainment venues were excellent from the 4 seasons to piano man.

Capt. Johnn ie the best on the high seas...... Great man who started as a seaman in Norway to now sail as the Master of the largest cruise ship in the world...... 16 decks fun time very wide ship 200 ft makes her the 235,000 tons.

Any specfic questions would be happy to answer... if you try it you wont be diaappointed.
