Ship Facts: Celebrity Reflection Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Reflection Deck Plans
Happy Celebrity Cruiser
We have cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity. Celebrity is by far our favorite cruise line. We cruised on the Eclipse last March and loved it! The ships are very similar, but I liked the decor on the Eclipse better. We live in S. Florida, so we did not have to deal with the airports and or hotels.

We drove to the port of Miami, and parked our car there. We got to the port about 11 am and it only took about 30 minutes to register, get our sea passes and board the ship. I was impressed by how organized it was.

Once aboard the Reflection, we went to the excursions desk to book and excursion for the kids in St. Thomas. They went on a catamaran, and sknorkeled at the sunken ship site. They enjoyed the ride, but there were very few fish to see. They were very dissapointed.

We booked our cruise on the internet, and got the drink package and pre-paid gratuities which was a plus. We also had an on board credit they gave us as well. We upgrated the classic drink package to the premier which we paid the difference for. It was well worth it. That enabled us to get drinks from all the bars up to $12.00. (most drinks were $12.00 or less) Each bar on the ship, shas a different drink menue. They have a very cool molecular bar which has very unique drinks, a great martini bar which has an ice top, and several other bars thru out the ship. We spent alot of time at the different bars talking with friends we made and had great times. The service was very good.

We had 6:00 dinner reservations in Opus every night. We sat next to the captains table, but we never saw the captain. We were told that he would not be having dinner in the diningroom because there was not enough room for all the guests. That would have been fun to experience.

We had great service and the food overall was very good. Lobster night, which is on the second formal night, was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. The somenlier was great, we loved her, and she always came to our table just after we sat down to get our order. She even went as far as making my husband sangria, she cut the fruit and made her own special recipie. We really appreciated how wonderful she was. The chef came over to our table one evening and he had a great sense of humor.

We went to all the shows except the first one, The shows were good and the costumes were amazing.. The love and marriage game and Liar Liar games were hysterical, a must see. We laughed so hard. The comedian was good, but he did the same show each time. The band and lead singer were excellent.

My daughter did kareokee each night they had it, and that was a lot of fun.

We had two balcony rooms, they were neat and clean. We only had 2 towel animals the whole time, and our kids room had none. They were dissapointed in that. They did always put fresh towels and make and pull down the bed every day with a chocolate on our pillow every night.

Getting seats at the pool was not too much of an issue, we always seemed to find them. It was great that they didn't blare the music at the pool, it was very relaxing. They had Zumba twice a day by the pool and a few water games. Late afternoon the band played which was great. They did lack servers around the pool, we had to get up to get our drinks most of the time. Towels were always on the chairs and they had plenty of extra. The chairs all had cushions which is nice.

We went to 3 ports which we have been to before. San Juan, St Maarten, adn St. Thomas. We love all 3 of them. We have seen the islands, so we just walked around and shopped. The weather was great so we were lucky.

We took our own bags off and left the ship at about 8:30 as soon as the doors opened. They had two doors, getting off the ship. The one by the theater was very small, the other door the line was wrapped around the ship. We got off very wuickly, went right thru customs and got our car right away. We were lucky, I heard from other passengers who did not walk off that it was a nightmare and they ran very late.

We are already booked on Celebrity again in December and will book next March as well. It is a 5 star all the way!
