Ship Facts: Voyager of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Voyager of the Seas Deck Plans
Fantastic cruise on Voyager of the Seas
After reading other reviews I was a bit nervous about the quality of the cruise but everything was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The only thing that let the cruise down was the other guests who had nothing better to do do than complain and whine all the time. People need to remember that it was not an overly expensive cruise and you get out of it what you make of it.

A lot of people on the cruise were very rude and pushy and had no patience, we are on a holiday people, seriously what is the rush!

The Fremantle terminal was well organised and we had boarded the ship within 1/2 hour. We headed straight to windjammer cafe for lunch which always had a great selection to choose from and was generally very good. Lunch was offered in the main dinning room but we enjoyed the Buffet.

Most nights we headed to the main dinning room which we asked to be seated with other family and this was organised for us straight away with no issue. The head waiter and assistant waiter were very friendly and very good at recommending what was good. We had 3 kids with our group and they were all well cared for by the waiters and if they didn't like something a new meal would soon be bought out for them.

We dined in Portifinos one night where the food was fantastic and well worth the small charge per person. Service was a bit slow but that was fine as we had time to relax and enjoy our meal.

My daughter (9) loved kids club and wanted to go at every opportunity she had. They have special dinner nights at Johnny Rockets free of charge for the kids and she enjoyed this also. The activities for the kids seemed fun and included a disco in the night club.

Every port was well organised and ran very smoothly, all you had to do was listen and follow instructions. We chose to do the tours through the shop and found these very interesting with lots of great tour guides.

During the day you could do as much or as little as you liked and the organised quizzes where a favourite with our family. We found the price of drinks and the service from most drink staff to be great. Cocktails started at about $7 and beers ranged from $5-$7.50. They did run out of some beers but I'm sure they are working through this issue.

If you are a coffee drinker make sure you take a jar of instant coffee with you as there isn't any in the staterooms and the coffee that was free from the cafe was pretty yuk. The Starbucks coffee from the cafe on level 5 was good but you had to pay for it although it was only $3.75. Sometimes the ques for the coffee was long and they could probably do with another outlet.

Our stateroom was comfortable and had plenty of storage space and our room attendant "K" was fantastic and would always make us feel like we returning home when we came back to our cabin.

The shows were a bit hit and miss but the ice show was well worth seeing.

The lifts were a bit slow but we tried to do the stairs and if lazy people did this instead of using the lift for one level they would have been quicker.

Overall most staff were friendly and happy to serve, the food was of a great quality and quantity and our family enjoyed the experience.
