Outstanding : Riviera Cruise Review by Nursenort

Food in all restaurants continues to be the highlight of this cruise line. Having been on two smaller ships we were a little apprehensive about cruising on a larger ship. We both agreed we did not feel any effects of doubling passenger numbers. No waiting for anything in restaurants or elevators which speaks to plenty of open spaces & larger restaurants. Never once did service suffer.
The larger cabins on Riviera are fabulous. Bathrooms are lovely except for a very small shower. A large walk-in shower would have been more practical.
Having extra self service laundromats on this ship is a huge improvement.
The only disappointment were some excursions. Oceania excursions tend to be very costly so when one does not meet their standards it is disappointing. Constructive comments were made & More acknowledged from mid cruise evaluations. However no compensation was offered. A second excursion involving a catamaran ride in St Lucia was also disappointing due to extreme safety issues when leaving the boat to swim.
I would hope Oceania staff would evaluate their excursions before offering them at very costly prices. We will book our own tours from this point on.
I would still recommend Oceania as great value in all areas, except for their excursions. Less
Cabin review: B47050 Verandah Stateroom
Great cabin balcony Sliding closet doors poor quality & inconvenient location Cabin 7050 balcony has mechanical lift for gangways off balcony creating noise when in port & partially obstructs views, none creating too much of a problem but should be noted Tiny showerRead All Verandah Stateroom (B4) Reviews >>
