Ship Facts: Carnival Breeze Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Breeze Deck Plans
Wonderful Cruise !
I'd like to start off by dispelling any bad rumours about the Carnival Breeze. This is my second carnival cruise and was the best experience out of them. Almost everything top notch and service was beyond excellent. Carnival Cruise Line really deserves kudos for building such a fine ship, staffed with hard working and courteous employees.

This Carnival Cruise was the 8 days, eastern Caribbean cruise with stops at St.Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau.

Food: My family and I dined in the lower blush for 7 out of the 8 days. The food on this ship was delicious however, there was nothing to brag about either. The creme brulee was undercooked and the escargots felt like plastic. However, other than those two outliers, everything else did not disappoint. The chefs did a terrific job with their culinary display as everything was put together perfectly and the dishes were beautiful. The lobster on formal night was delicious, the beef was always cooked just right and the desserts were scrumptious. I would recommend trying the chocolate melting cake at least once on this cruise. You will not regret it. One thing to point out: the food usually arrived warm, not hot and service was usually quite slow. However, we were placed at the back of the ship dining room thought so that's something to keep in mind. The waiters were always friendly and willing to fulfill any of our needs. I will talk more about service in another section. However, the best part of each night was the dancing waiters at the end of dinner. Make sure you don't miss this entertaining soiree.

Lido Deck: Buffet food at lunch was good. Pizza pirate had long waits, Indian food was excellent and guys burgers were to die for.Blue Iguana Cantina burritos were tasty and the desserts on the lido deck always satisfied my cravings.

Cucina Del Capitano: The food here is excellent and the portions are huge. We dined here the third night of our cruise and if you like Italian food or want to try something new, you will not be disappointed. Definitely worth the $12 surcharge.

Service: I cannot stress this point enough: The service exceeded expectations. The employees on this ship outdid themselves in every aspect possible. Our waiters were so kind and friendly and everywhere we went, our cabin steward was very kind and courteous and every other employee greeted us with smiles and were always willing to strike up a conversation. If I needed something, they were more than willing to go out of their way to help.

Cabin: We had an interior cabin and it was very spacious. Cabin steward kept it clean everyday. Nothing to talk about here.

Entertainment: The entertainment was good. The shows in the ovation theaters were average. Some singers were quite pitchy and did not live up to expectations. However, there were also very good shows put on like the hypnotist show. That was hilarious. Karaoke on this ship was good but the Super Start Live Karaoke was EXCELLENT. Consuela rocked the show and she was such a wonderful host. Always kind, genial and friendly. And her vocals never disappointed. Don't miss out on superstar live !

Port of Calls-

St.Thomas: Booked a catamaran/snorkel excursion with carnival. Way too pricey. Never booking an excursion with Carnival again.

Antigua: Got a local tour from a taxi driver. He then took us to a beach. Had ample time to come back to shop. So much to do at this port and the beaches are wonderful. Loved this Antigua

Tortola: Got another tour of the city. Stayed at the beach for about 45 minutes. Didn't go to the baths because we heard it was to crowded. Went shopping a little bit. Nothing much to see in tortola.

Nassau: We went to cabbage beach and rented a jetskii. The taxi ride to the beach was 4 dollars for a one way ride and the beach was nice. We came back and did some shopping. Nassau is the shopping mecca of the Caribbean and you will find a lot of things that you want to buy here.

Embarkation and debarkation were a breeze. (pun intended)

Overall, this cruise was amazing. We would definitely sail with carnival again.
