Sail Date: Mar 2013

My family has cruised 5 or 6 times. First of which is not listed since its a luxury-adventure tour group called "Linbland Tours". The sum of that tour set the bar high. My wife and I booked a Spring Break 2013 cruise to fit our college sophomore's time table. We booked the Freedom out of Fort Lauderdale for its ease of airport access and itinerary. Carnival offers good schedules to fit most folks busy schedules.. Have cruised Carnival two previous times.

Arrived Fort Lauderdale Sunday morning 3-17-2013. Took our time and taxied to cruise ship, three people cost $18 including nice tip. Boarded by 11:30am. Went right to Serenity area for adults over 21. Somewhat cloudy but 77 degrees and beautiful view of cruise port Ft. Lauderdale. Six ships scheduled to depart 4-5pm. Witnessed five of the six dancing a tango to exit Port Everglades. This was the easiest cruise port to get in and out of that I have been to. Taxi stand adjacent to airport and cruise terminal.

We checked into our room 6455 interior easily. Our bags were waiting. The room was adaquant. We spent time for rest and organization there. The rate was reasonable as past guests. We ate meals in the Poosh dining area lowwer with another family group of three. We seem to always get the stern area of dining close to the back but in the open area which is easy to view the activities that our wait staffs provided. I am always impressed by our wait staff, a three person Team. I tip them extra for the service they provide at the end of the cruise as well as our room steward. ($50 each for a five day cruise), a little more for three to the wait staff and a six day cruise. *Depends on how many times you dine in the sit down dining. We eat all our dinners during our 6pm dining slot. Kate, Josephine, and Henry were excellent, friendly, attentive! Enjoy trying as many of the choices offered for dinner. Also eat all of our morning meals in the sam setting. Empressed with the Freedoms ability to do a sit down breafast or brunch everyday, even when we where at any of our islands or the day we self embarked. Major plus here! The buffet breakfast is standard affair. Order from a table & be happy.. The ship itinerary was great. Nice mix of stops with warm weather ship sailing days. Weather was perfect. Had a great time and book Carnival again!
