Ship Facts: Disney Dream Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Disney Dream Deck Plans
First Cruise With Disney! Outstanding!
This was our first cruise with Disney. We are two adults in our early 30's, no children and we love to cruise. We had previously cruised NCL Epic, NCL Majesty and RCL Majesty of The Seas. We were curious if we would enjoy a Disney Cruise and it exceeded our expectations. Disney Dream was our favorite compared to NCL and RCL ships.

We can break down our cruise to be specific:

1. Service was outstanding! Disney not only caters to children, but adults as well. We stayed in the adult only areas (very quiet and relaxing). Servers around the pool and beach areas were exceptional! They knew us on a first name basis.

All of our waiters at dinner were exceptional as well. They would make recommendations from the menu and were spot on. You have the same waiters each night and they rotate restaurants with you.

Guest services was outstanding. They printed off our boarding passes for our flight home and there was no charge. On the NCL cruise we had to use the Internet cafe and pay a fee. Best service on any cruise thus far!

2. Food and Drinks: We were very satisfied with all of the food on Disney. We ate breakfast at Cabanas each morning (buffet), lunch at Flo's cafe by pool (hamburgers, sandwiches, pizza, salads, fruit, hot dogs), room service, and dinner at (Royal Palace-favorite of 3 dinner choices, Enchanted Garden and Animators Palate). The first day when we boarded the ship Enchanted Garden had a buffet which we enjoyed as well.

We also made reservations to Remy. This was a great experience for us! The menu had a French side and an American side. I recommend one getting the American and other getting the French and sharing so you can try and experience more. Each side had 5 dishes and you get to sample each. Our favorite dish was the Kobe Beef. Service at Remy was exceptional. They explained each item on the menu in detail.

Alcoholic beverages were reasonably priced. All of the mixed drinks were made with real juices and were better than NCL and RCL. My favorite was the High Tide and all of the drinks of the day were great!

3. Pools: The two pools in the main area were crowed, but all cruise pools are. We did enjoy the Aquaduck! Everyone needs to try it once (adults and kids!)

4.Room: Very spacious compared to NCL and RCL. We had plenty of room in the bathroom as well. On other cruises it is hard to turn around in the room, but not on Disney!

5. Disney takes a lot of pride in their ship. They are consistently cleaning. This was the cleanest ship I have ever seen.

We highly recommend Disney. It is pricey compared to other cruise lines, but you get what you pay for. We are currently booking another Disney Cruise, but this one will be for 7 days:)
