My mom and I just returned from a 5-night cruise on the Carnival Fantasy. We embarked in Port Canaveral, FL. Our cruise included the ports of Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau. This was my second cruise and my mom's first.

Embarkation was fast! We had stayed at the Radisson Resort the night before, and they shuttled us to the port. We got there between 11:30 and 12:00 noon. We dropped off our check-in luggage at the curb, went inside, went right up to the counter and checked in and was onboard within 15 minutes! We weren't allowed to go to our cabins at that time, so we went up to the Windows on the Sea Restaurant and had some lunch and something cold to drink. At 1:00 we decided to head to our cabin and it was ready! We dropped our carry-on bags and went exploring!

The Fantasy is a lovely ship. We especially loved the Promenade. We also fell in love with the Bistro on the Promenade. They serve the BEST mocchachinos! We stopped by there every afternoon and ordered one up. I was a little disappointed in the Grand Spectrum. I guess I expected something that was elaborate and vibrant, but it was kind of dull. However, that was the only negative about the interior of the ship!
