Ship Facts: Celebrity Reflection Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Reflection Deck Plans
Celebrity Ship Reflection - March 2. -- 9 , 2013 - GreaTr
We flew into Fort Lauderdale and used QLS Shuttle service to get to the port of Miami. 954-907-0750 15.00 per person a deal for the 40 minute ride. Easy Trip

Embarkation -- Easy, no lines, smooth, fast and boarding was a breeze. Champagne toast awaits all upon the ship.

Rooms -- We had room 8114 nice size plenty of room for all luggage under the bed and shower a decent size to accommodate most folks and sizes. Balcony nice size, chairs that recline fully to catch sun versus the standard chair format.

Entertainment -- A nice mix of stage shows, a awesome violinist Greg Scott, mix of music, acrobatics, cirque style shows. The one key performer gal was amazing in her moves that she displayed for a show, we called her Gumby(master contortionist) as she could bend and fold like no other ever seen; outstanding show the first formal night. All shows were very entertaining the magic show amusing and Sin City was more of adults only and very funny with a bit of burlesque for a few minutes which may have scared of few away at first. Liars club was very funny and worth catching. We only missed the first show due to a full day of champagne... LOL

Podium Presentations -- Well worth if it you can find the time. Our favorite was the ship related talks especially Ships Navigation and behind the scene talks. Others were good too!

Art Show -- We go to watch what other buy and get a little review.

Gym & Spa -- Very nice, many options and various offerings as always. Look at daily agenda for specials. Enjoy walking and found this ship only had the path on top deck and as it got busy in the morning was hard at times to walk without interruptions. Other ships have one deck where you can do entire loop of the ship easily versus top deck. It all worked out just need to go early.

Casino & Shops - Casino tables a nice mix, I like to visit the table games and play late at night a few hands. Shops something for everyone, high end and then the boulevard of the standard shops. The liquor shop has a nice mix but all so heavy to travel with as you depart the ship. I would have bought several but the weight and flying does not allow for it anymore.

Dining & Food -- We travel much and around the world and we found the offerings to be a nice mix all around the ship. There were so many choices and just not enough time. We enjoyed the anytime dining that we always books allows for the freedom of not watching the clock. You will be prepaying the entire tip for the week if you select this option which is the norm as you do not have the standard times and servers. All work so hard all the time, we prefer to pre-tip an also tip many the night before we leave to all our favorites during the week. Our room steward Sylvester always so pleasant and warming. We want to acknowledge all their efforts as they are on the ship so long and work around the clock to make all our experience on the trip a positive one. ** Second formal night has Lobster not to be missed if you enjoy lobster! ** Wow we had large tails and they were super! Also, the ice sculpturing and buffet brunch not to be misses along with the galley tour always a highlight with special carvings and displays.

We ate at Murano's specialty was very classy and fine dining and presentation. We enjoyed it but the main dining OPUS was just as good we found food wise. We asked around and the Grill and Qsine and others were all positive experiences from what we heard. Qsine more a wow factor where Murano the fine dining elegant feeling. Check them all out. We found the OPUS room to be so beautiful and all decorated in the theme of Champagne how fitting for me! Stunning!

Formal Nights -- Two formal nights with picture offerings. Great shows after the dinner. First formal night is the Cirque show and last one was a mix of the week entertainers show format.

Drink Package -- Well worth it if you enjoy a mix of wines and cocktails. We are social drinkers and like the mix of drinks and selection. You need to purchase the premium for a few bucks more a day to really get more of a selection. There was plenty to drink but make note the 8.5 will not qualify if you have the standard package of a 8.0 limit as they will want to charge you for the full price versus just the difference. Premium is well worth it as it includes water, gourmet coffees, smoothies, juice and all drinks on board.

Excursions -- We like to do full island tours if it is a new destination. We review the online offerings and also personally review what is out there as well. For island trips you can sometimes get a tour off the boat easily if you have time. All ports on this cruise had a mix on and off right outside the boat too.

*Puerto Rico -- Town Tour offerings right off the ship if you don't have much planned. *St Martin -- Shuttles every where you want to go, do see the Air Planes at Maho Beach a real thrill and great beach and bars. *St Kitts - Usedd Welcome Tours a great full island tour run by Beulah Mills, great trip, priced right with a stop at the Ship Wreck beach and bar for a minimal cost.

Disembarkation -- Easy, fast and customs had no lines, right off the ship and caught our shuttle curbside. Easy.

Summary -- The ship deco is just beautiful and so many different fabrics and textures and art and places to enjoy on all levels. The pools heated and plenty chairs available at all times. Sea days, go out a bit earlier to secure your spot. If hot out, they have a iced towel person walking around offering to cool you off. Plenty of drink servers. Great burgers upper pool deck. Great healthy choices at the indoor Aqua Spa Cafe, enjoyed all the smoothies and healthy breakfasts before I started my early morning top deck walking routine. Just never enough time for some and all what you make of it. Met great people all week and all so friendly. Remember life is short, enjoy your ship and experience leave your worries at home for the week and wear a happy hat as it is your week to enjoy your life.

We are doing Europe in in fall for the Wine specialty trip they offer for 12 days. We are already booked and know this line will do its best. This trip was all that we expected and enjoyed.
