Well this review will just be on the ship and all its decks and activities on each. The reviews on each port will be on the Port Review Section so please check that out!!
So I will begin with Day 1 when we left very early Monday morning Feb 25th from Dallas to Port Canaveral taking 2 flights and getting to Orlando Int around noon. We met the Carnival transfer bus and were taken to Port Canaveral around 1pm for a 45 min bus ride. On the way we could see Cape Canaveral and the bus driver was very entertaining and informative on how the whole embarkation process worked and what to have ready once we arrived at the port. Once at the port we left our luggage with the driver and it was taken on board and actually arrived by our room no more than an hour later.
Embarkation was very easy and we boarded the ship with our sail and sign cards around 10 minutes after arriving at the port. Once on board we were just amazed by the Grand Atrium and then went down to our room to get ready for Muster and the Safety Drill. Once finished we went outside to wave goodbye to Florida and say hello to the Bahamas!!!!!
So now from Deck 14 to Deck 4 here we go =)
Deck 14- Is where we got to play Mini Golf and used the Jogging Track
Deck 12- Is where we attended free seminars at the gym and spa
Deck 11- Is where we could see everything from the observation deck, passed Camp Carnival, and the WaterWorks/awesome slides
Deck 10- Is the most popular deck the LIDO DECK where the main pool is, the stage/giant chess set, and the Panorama Bar & Grill where the buffet is and the 24hr ice cream, pizza ( not very good ) and sandwiches
Deck 9- Is where all the shows and Tender process would take place in at the Blue Sapphire Theatre,we saw the Brits and Hasbro Game Show here. Also Deck 9 has the photo gallery,Club O2,Video Games,Casino,Bars,Clubs,Cafe, and the very nice SERENITY for adults only
Deck 8- Is where the Fun Shops are,Circle C,Library, our dining room the Wind Star ( anytime dining ) and the assigned dining the Wind Song
Deck 7- Is mosty staterooms but is very important because of the Guest Service desk,Internet Cafe, and Shore Excursion desk
Deck 6-4 is all staterooms
Deck 3 is where the Medical Center was and where we tendered at for the ports
So our stateroom was on Deck 4 the Riviera Deck and it was nice. It was an interior with a fake window but VERY comfy bed and a pretty good sized bathroom with an amazing shower. Just like all rooms it had 24 hr room service for any meal of the day or night, it also had a safe, big closets, bathrobes, life jackets with our muster station and nice flat screen TV.
Well I thought I could post this at the end in a different section but here is the last night and debarkation and last words of my cruise
So that last night we saw the other show and pretty much did everything on the Fun Times that they leave in your room each night with the amazing towel animals. We put our luggage out in the hall and they took it away overnight to await us in Florida. We had 1 last room service meal and prepared for the next day and debarkation.
Debarkation was very simple they called us by floor level and we were off by 9:45 and then got our bags in the terminal and went through customs and were sadly leaving the port and on the carnival transfer bus to the airport by 10:30
Ecstasy may not be the biggest and newest ship but has much more, great comfy big staterooms, great food, shows, best staff in the world, and DO NOT forget to get the Chocolate Melting Cake ( trust me on this ) As Carnivals says " Bon Voyage " !!!!!!
P.S also VERY CLEAN SHIP ( Staff would clean 24hrs )
