My wife & I have just returned from our first ever cruise.we were recommended the Azura by my son who bad been on it brfore. He & his wife travelled with us.
We had a wonderful time. The choice of food in the Peninsular restaurant was outstanding(up to 5 courses). Our waiters Nichil & Sachin attended to our every need, always with a smile on their faces. On our last night The head waiter organized several others to gather round our table,to sing Congratulations,as we were celebrating our %0th wedding anniversary(but not until 23rd of March)
If you didn't want to eat in your allotted restaurant,as there was a dress code each evening, then you could eat at one of the self service restaurants. The choice of food in these was excellent too.During the day we used these for breakfasts & lunches.
The entrtainment in the evening was excellent with a choice of venues. The playhouse theatre put on the big shows, but you could watch other entertainers in the Manhattern, Malibar, etc.Dancere were accommodated in the Atrium, with professional instuctors to help.
If it got too hot on deck, there were always top films being shown during the day in one of the air conditionred venues,as well as the huge screen,at the end of one of the swimming pools.
The islands visited were all a bit different, with a choice of trips round with one of the numerous taxi drivers,or to one of the beautiful beeches
All in all, this is a wonderful choice of ship which I would recommend to anyone. February/March is probably best for people in our age group.
Well done P&O for a magnificent time
