Cruises are the fun part of traveling. After having done many all inclusive resorts, where if it rains or your husband does not like to get up early or does not like the same food you do, you may find your vacations to be quite long and get back home frustrated and not relaxe
I have cruise on different cruise lines, about 8 of them doing 40 cruises in the past 20 years. From the first one in 1976 on the Oceanic, things have changed a lot.
For the people that complain about the extra fees you have to pay, just imagine how much you pay, when you stay in a hotel. Room fees, 3 meals a day, and if you dont like what you ordered, you still have to pay for it and not on a cruise ship where they will be happy to give you something else. Any drinks on land you have to pay. On a ship at least, some are free, juices, tea, coffee, milk. you can find something to eat, 20 hours a day and order anytime you want in your room, and there are no charges except a tip, which you would still give in a hotel. free shows, where do you get that free.
there are so many things to do, if you are bored, well you have a problem, from lecturers, dancing, pool, lessons, dance classes and others, what else can you ask for and they are all free. I still think cruising is the best way to travel and see the world without unpacking.
Some of the cruise lines I would not go back, but Celebrity and Royal are my favorites
