Just returned from a 5-night Bahama cruise aboard the Carnival Victory. We left from Miami Mar. 4th and returned Mar 9th. This was a great cruise. There were 9 of us and we can't believe how smooth things went. We have sailed Carnival before and expected a good cruise, but we got an outstanding one!! The food in the main restaurant was excellent, service a little slow, but great food and very personable service. the Lido buffet was very good as well.
As with most ships, the rooms were a bit small, but clean and our cabin stewart was on top of things. The attitude from the entire staff was extremely refreshing. The staff were helpful and all had a smile & greeting for everyone they encountered. I haven't seen this in any of our 4 previous cruises.
The shows were top notch. Entertainers are professional quality and I would recommend seeing as many of them as you can. There's a very active Piano bar ( with someone playing musin nightly ) and a hopping casino.
The stops were just right for us. We hit Nassua ( with Atlantis ), the private island Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk. Each stop has enough to do, although we enjoyed the beach. If your lloking for a short, relaxing cruise from Miami, this one will do you just fine.
