Being from Minnesota, the four of us look for a warm getaway every winter. This is the first year we all took a cruise together. We got two cabins next to each other. The cabins were a nice size and well laid out. We loved our cabin steward Roque and wish we could have taken him home with us.

We really liked the ports (Cartagena, Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. It was our first time visiting all these ports. We were in Aruba for the Grande Parade of Carnival - that was a crazy (but fun) day. We didn't see much of the island but the parade and partying were great.

The Sun is an older ship but very well kept up. Crew members were constantly scrubbing, painting and making sure that everything was ship shape. We really liked the food in the main dining rooms - especially the Seven Seas. The wait staff there was excellent. The buffet (Garden Cafe) was a bit small and crowded at times, but the food was very good. We never went hungry! We liked swimming in the pools on days at sea. We went to the main show every night. We loved the ones featuring the ship singers and dancers - they are so good and work very hard. We liked most of the other shows. The juggler/comedian was our least favorite. The acrobats were amazing.

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IA

Nice size and layout. Good location near, but not too close to stairs and elevators. Quiet. Excellent steward! Inside cabin so dark we overslept and had to start setting our alarm clock so we wouldn't miss things.
