There were 4 of us on the MSC DIVINA Yacht Club Class. We are all experienced cruisers and have been on most lines and we all agreed this is the most fabulous ship we have ever boarded. It has spectacular modern spaces kept scrupulously clean. The Yacht Club is a private class with a separate conceirge, cocktail lounge, restaurant, pool and pool bar. It is well worth the extra $$. However, the whole ship is gorgeous and different. We tried all the restaurants and they were stylish; the food was good if you like a gourmet European style; it is an Italian ship. You are better off with the Italian selections as meats are smaller and thinner than in the USA. There are many courses served but the portions are smaller than American ships and not as many choices. Order more courses if you want more food. The buffet on the top deck is great. It goes on and on; you can get lost in the buffet; the food was good especially the pastries and breads.

There were no more than 30 Americans on the whole ship. The guests hang out with their own nationalities so there is no interaction. The staff speaks English but most of the guests do not. Everything is announced in 5 languages. There were mostly Italians French, Spanish, Japanese, Russians; they did not dress up so much for dinner and were more casual except in the Yacht Club. The staff is very professional and tries to please. There is smoking in the LaLuna Bar, the Casino and there is a cigar club bar. This is a very European experience. We liked it; BUT very different than an American ship and you WILL be disappointed if you are not open to an entirely new experience. All the activties were very well attended; much more so than American ships. The entertainment is classical and excellent. We got off in Civitavechhia on a Sunday and only EUROPE CAR is open for car rentals one hour between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Sundays. Enjoyed all the ports and took cabs and hop on/hop off buses. We can't wait to get back to MSC Yacht Club.
