Judging by remarks of fellow passengers P&O will have difficulty filling OCEANA!
Cabins generally tatty and smell from toilets. Indeed, frequent sewage smells throughout ship. We complained, as did others, but nothing done about it. As could not discharge "dirty water" at Haifa and Alexandria" perhaps sewage tanks overflowed!
Attitude of waiting staff was generally surly and could not wait to clear away at the end of meals even though tables were not required for other diners (late sitting)I agree with other review that choice of food not as extensive as before
Entertainment varied from excellent to poor and the resident dance company was not overworked! However, orchestra were excellent and worked very hard.
Enjoyed shore excursions but not good value for money. £33 each for a coach to Taormina, dropped off for a short period in the town and back to the ship! Someone is making money from full coach loads! Some ports of call, e.g. Alexandria, made DIY excursions difficult both in terms of personal security, destinations and time constraints; too many 4:30 departures.
In spite of the above comments overall we did enjoy the cruise and destinations, especially Israel, and it was great value for money. But, would hesitate before going back on OCEANA unless they REALLY do a refit
