Just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Glory. We sailed from February 24th to March 3rd, 2013.
We arrived at the Port of Miami on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. The entire embarkation process only took approximately 15 minutes and then we were on the ship and in our stateroom. Our Cabin was an Ocean View Suite on Deck 7, which was absolutely beautiful. (Highly recommend this type of room)
Our ports of call included Nassau, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. We did not do any shore excursions during this trip. We did get off at every port and enjoyed walking around and doing a little shopping.
We have been on the Glory before so we were familiar with the ships layout. As always, it was very well maintained and always kept very clean. Our stateroom was also kept in excellent condition each and every day.
The food services aboard the Glory was excellent! We certainly had no complaints. Everything including the main dining room, Guy's Burger Joint, Blue More
Iguana Cantina, the pizza place, the buffet area on the Lido Deck was again very good! There were always many food selections, every dish tasted great and the service was impeccable. If for some reason you did not care for a particular item there was always many other choices.
Disembarking the ship upon our return was again a very smooth transition which only took about 20 minutes.
Over the last little while I have read many reviews about Carnival Cruise Lines. Several of those reviews were very negative and probably cause many people to question if they have made the right choice. From my personal experience I can honestly say that Carnival did everything possible to make our vacation wonderful!!! Like everything else in life .... If you want to find something negative you can easily do that.
Whenever we travel we choose to let the little things not bother us and we have always had great vacations.
So .... If you have chosen to cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines please do not worry. You will have a great time!!! Enjoy your vacation! Less
