We drove for two days down from Toronto. The first hotel does not matter because I doubt most of you would stay there. The second hotel (Hampton Inn, Coco beach) was a 15 minute ride away from the port. It had a nice lobby but the rooms were disappointing. The sheets on the bed were stained and the mattress on the pull out was stained also. They refunded us though so can't complain. The embarkation was really smooth. We had priority because we were in a suite. It took less then 15 minutes to get on the ship.
We noticed immediately the low ceilings. We are not even that tall.
Our cabin was unbelievable! U108 GS was so nice! The room was very large, we had a mini fridge, we had a massive balcony! If you can afford it do the suite. We only go on cruises once every 3-4 years so we splurged. Our steward IDA was great.
In terms of dining, we had anytime dining. Most days there was no wait. On formal night we had to wait 20 minutes, thats because everyone came in at the same time. Be prepared for singing/dancing waiters.
The ports were OKAY. Halfmoon Cay was clearly the best. If you have been there you don't need me to explain. If you do: imagine a white sand beach with amazing water and snorkelling. That does not do it justice. Just imagine paradise and you will see HMC.
Nassau I dislike. Its to pushy and crowded. Not much to do IMO. Saw the staircase and did a taxi tour.
Freeport is a diamond in the rough. People all hate it because you are in an industrial area. This is what you do. Get off the ship and get into a large taxi. For $5 they take you downtown. Once your there find the police station. To the right of it is a pathway to the beach. The beach was beautiful. Sadly it was too cold for us to go in the water that day.
The ship is well maintained if you don't look to closely.
The brits/motor city was OKAY. The hasbro show was great!
