We have been on numerous cruises with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Princess over the years. The atmosphere on the Sensation was very good and reminds you of what cruising on Carnival is all about.
The food was good on this ship. We ate in the main dining room for dinner, and utilized the buffet, rotisserie, and grill for breakfast and lunch. We never had much of a line, if at all, and had numerous selections to choose from.
Service was very good and personalized. Our cabin steward knew our names the first day, and greeted us every day by our names. We had the any-time dining. The waiters in the main dining room always greeted you by your names.
If you attend the shopping lecture, sit up front as various goodies are thrown out to the audience.
There were lots of on-board activities that were free including dance classes, trivia, mask decorating, etc.
The entertainment shows at night were very enjoyable. The comedy club had some good comedians as well.
For an older ship, it was very well maintained and clean.
Embarkation and Debarkation were very smooth and well organized.
The entire crew seemed to be very engaged in what they are doing and seem like they are enjoying what they do as well. They were very professional and functioned as a team. They were also able to engage the guests.
We had booked a guarantee inside room and ended up getting a handicap accessible room. Whenever you took a shower, the entire bathroom would get flooded, in spite of how many towels you put down to dam the water. A better divider between shower and bathroom is needed.
