Flew into LAX, got greatted by Princess who took our cases and delivered them to the room. Bus came and took us to the port, about 35 minutes. Easy resgistration, but remember your passports. Room as ready and we got our cases in about 1 hour. After the boat drill, some of us met to get our name tags and coin clips. Sailed on time and we did not see land for 5 days. Water was a little rough, but it was cold (Florida talking) and cloudy with some rain. Had lots of things to do on board, and the shows were good. Hilo had heavy rain so we got soaked before getting into the bus. Used Roberts Hawaiian as our tour and they were very good. On Oahu we could not find a tour we liked so rented a car from Thrifty and drove around with our GPS. Had reservations for Pearl Harbor, which is needed, or you wait a long time. Off to the Dole Plantation, then back into town for a tour thru the Palace. Dinner at the Aloha Tower Mall and back into the ship. Kauai - had the "Best of Kauai" tour. Not worth it! Drove forever to see a poor beach, a few stops, but way too expensive. Maui, used Roberts Hawaii again and had a great trip to see the crater (10,000 feet up and cold) the the Maui Tropical Plantation. Excellent tour and price. Five days sailing home was toooo long. Did not get off the ship in Mexico.

The any time dinning for the first 4 nights was challenge. Long lines and waiting to get in. Had to go at 5:15 or call for reservations. After Hawaii it was OK to go almost any time. Piano player of deck 7 was excellent and most of the shows were good. With the theatre on the stern, sit in the chairs or you will not see the stage. Internet was slow, but that is same on all the ships. They had 16 computers, and you could take your chip out of the camera and send photos. Getting off was a breeze, wait until called, passport checked, get luggage and off to the bus which is right there. To the airport and wait until your flight is called. Got there early which is better than being late. A 10 day one way cruise would be better, but they do not offer that.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Deck 12, starboard, forward, balcony - standard room - no problems - long walk to mid ship where everything happens.
