Best Cruise Yet!!
This was our second cruise on the Jade and our third with NCL we enjoy the freestyle cruising ie.no need to dress up smart casual suits for all venues.

So what about this cruise.

We flew from Dublin to Rome stayed over one night in Rome in a central hotel near Termini Station,so we had not far to go with cases etc.

Great tip take airport bus in no need to drag luggage up and down platforms takes approx 45 minutes!

The train from Termini to port takes about 1.30 hrs,you can walk to port entrance in 15 minutes it is a pleasant walk to port entrance where the port buses take you to your ship, the NCL Jade has shuttle buses and no need to rush plenty of buses coming and going.

Embarcation was ok not too slow,we were about 20mins as queues were long but orderly.

Once on board we went straight to our cabin a mini suite very spacious and comfortable with lots of hanging space and a bath, quickly settled we headed to the buffet which was excellent had a great lunch then had a relaxing afternoon unpacking.

The meals in the main dining rooms were excellent I am very surprised at some of the bad reviews, there is a wide variety and part of the menu changes every night partly to reflect where you are locally.

We tried the tappenaki restaurant, which was really fun ,give it a go!

The ports we visited were Naples in Italy,Crete,Alanya in Turkey,Limasol in Cyprus Haifa in Israel,we were dissapointed Cairo was dropped but due to civil unrest we understood.

Disembarking at all ports was smooth and we took the NCL tours which we found very interesting.

Nightlife on board was really fun we went to a different show each night. There was a Motown show,a sixties girl group show "Shout" a great production show not to be missed "Elements",a male group "4Ever" why these guys are not stars I don't know, there was an illusion show and an acrobatic show all very world class nothing cheap and tacky, but finally I have to say the stars for me were the cruise staff show.. lovely smiles all round.

We used the gym every other day which has adequate facilities for most people, there is a free steam room for both male and female (separate)or a mixed spa area again very modern and spacious.

Over all this was a great value cruise so many destinations in 11 days and enough sea days to really relax and enjoy the ship.
