Let me kick this off by saying that if youre reading this, theres a decent chance you have an upcoming cruise on Glory. Let me just say that you will NOT be disappointed. It was one of the best cruise experiences I have ever had.

Day 1 Embarkation.

Arrived at the port at 10:50, full of piss and vinegar, and armed to the teeth with vodka (3.5 L) and olive juice for dirty martinis loaded in our checked luggage. Luckily, my mother and brother both live near Port Canaveral, so I saved $84 on parking by getting dropped off there. Found a porter and checked three bags, took the carry-ons to the line for embarkation, which was already about 100 deep. We waited on this line for maybe 10 minutes when an employee came by and stated that they had just opened the other side and that she was taking half our line over there, beginning with my girlfriend and I. Score! Rolled up the stairs to a virtually empty check-in station. I already had our immigration documents and Fun Pass filled out, so all they needed was to see that paperwork, our passports, and my credit card for Sail n Sign. The employee mistakenly called me Joan instead of John, which elicited a few chuckles, but she quickly corrected her error. I told her I could be either, depending on how many Fun Ships I knocked out that evening, which got solid laughs from all the pursers around her. One in particular, a fetching lass of about 63, was eyeing me up like a side of beef. Excusing myself from her mental undressing, we strode to the next station, where you get the Sail n Sign cards. Ours happened to be right up front and on the exact side that we walked up to, so we were out of there in 30 seconds and straight up the gangway onto the boat.
