Just returned last night so still have sea legs. Even though we had to sail around Ernesto we still a pretty good time. This was my 3rd cruise (Disney and Carnival before) and my husbands first. We flew from Philly to Ft. Lauderdale the morning of the cruise and we decided to take a taxi to the port. It was fast and cheap. We were at the ship in about 10 min. Embarkation was fast and smooth although it was there that we learned we would not be going to Key West. I had a shore excursion planned but we got a refund a few days later. We ended up with 2 nights at sea which I knew would turn my husband off to cruising. But we enjoyed Cozumel, mainly because we like to drink a little so we hung out at Senor Frogs and Carlos n' Charlies. We had lunch at the Hard Rock. I hate to be negative but Coco Cay was disappointing. The beaches and water seemed dirty, not the bright blue water they promised. Stayed only a short time. The pool games were funny and our cruise director Paul was witty and great! The service was wonderful as was the food. We had a nice table for 2 in front of a large window. The entertainment was fair at best. We won one the trivia contests but the prizes are cheap and tacky. Disembarking was very smooth. We were in the second group, grabbed our luggage and a taxi and were at the airport in no time. I will cruise RC again but I might have to go with my sister next time.
