We drove to the port from Virginia and parked in the long term parking for $10 a day. My son drove in a separate car to drop off my grandchildren who were travelling with me. That created a little confusion but nothing major. My 75 year old mother, my 16 year old nephew, my 11 year old stepgrandson and my six year old granddaughter were my travelling companions. We had two inside adjoining cabins which worked out well for us. For some reason this cruise more than others I have been on seemed more crowded to me and I'm not sure why. The eleven year old loved the kids club but the six year old wanted to spend more time with me but did go into the club occasionally. I found that the pick up times were a little inconvenient. I felt somewhat like a cruise director keeping my with everyone and getting them to different activities but it was all good and I knew that was what this cruise was going to be about. The food seem to be okay with most of us and everyone could find something they liked. The windjammer seem always crowded to me and we had to search for a table each time. I enjoyed the dinner in the dining rooms more and thought the food there was overall good. We were seated at the early dining at a table for 12 with another family with three children who were all very pleasant dinner companions. Bermuda was very beautiful but travelling around seemed a little difficult and ate up a lot of your time on the island. We took the ferry to Hamilton to shop and then spent the rest of our time mostly at Horseshoe Beach which we all enjoyed exploring alot especially the more distant coves by following the beach to the left. We spent a little time the last day at the Dockyard looking through the shops there. The last evening and night was a little rough due to Ernesto. I felt quite ill packing that evening and my granddaughter lost her lunch on the first day but other than that not a lot of motion sickness thankfully. Everyone had a good time on the ship and overall I think the ship was holding up fairly well. Not a lot of complaints. There were a handful of kids aged 11 to 16 approximately that were running around the ship a little out of control and never say them with parents but again no major complaints. We took the option of carrying our own luggage off the ship and for us that worked out very well. Overall a good cruise and am looking forward to my next one on the Glory in January.
