Mariner of the Seas cruise review

We did the Eastern Caribbean route in late August. Overall, we had a great time, although this review points out a lot of small disappointments. This was my third cruise, my second on Royal Caribbean. We took a Holland America cruise this past spring on the Westerdam and I found myself comparing the two experiences and wishing that the Mariner experience was more like the Westerdam in several respects. But we had chosen RC because we wanted a more active vacation and we got that!

Cruise Air Royal Caribbean originally booked us on a connecting flight to get from Washington, D.C. to Orlando, Florida. We ended up paying $100 more just to get nonstop flights. Now I understand why the conventional wisdom is to skip the cruise air arrangements and do it on your own.
